10 year Anniversary of Our Movie!
Science, Sex, and the Ladies, our full length movie released in 2014 is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year. It’s hard to believe that much time has gone by, especially since there has honestly been so little change in orgasm equality in that time…which is pretty disappointing, honestly. I’m pretty used to the slow movement of activism by now, though, especially on this topic.
Were gearing up for the Anniversary by doing a few things
Updating the blog (which by the is celebrating 15 years!). We moved here from Blogger, because, well, Blogger is old-school and it was frankly also censoring my post which is crazy and super annoying.
Creating a very short new scene to speak on the topics of the movie with an eye 10 years from the future (really 15 years because that’s how long ago we finalized most of the shooting). You can see some of my thoughts about what we’d change about the move if we did it now HERE.
This isn’t for sure yet, but we’re seriously considering getting another translation. You can currently watch it with English, Brazilian Portuguese, or Russian subtitles, and there’s an Italian dubbed version running around late night cable in Italy.
We’re also looking for other streaming platforms to get the movie up on. It’s a wild endeavor for a lot of them, but we’re checking into some things. I’ll keep you updated.
We’re working on some theater showings. I’ll tell ya, I’ve seen the movie many, many, many times, and hands down, it’s most fun in a big group in a theater. This will be more of a late summer or fall things, so I’ll let you know once dates area set.
